Lauren Catellani

Lauren Catellani is an independent artist based in Boorloo. Choreographically, she focusses on dialogues with objects, people, spaces, working with unpredictability and in collaboration with other mediums. She completed her Bachelor of arts (Dance) with honours at WAAPA, and has since worked as a choreographer, collaborator, performer and teacher. Notable works include Watering (2019), which earned a Fringe World Dance/Physical Theatre Award, Behavioural Ecologies (Red) – a month long site specific performance for the Fremantle Biennale (2019) and Desire Lines (2020), which was described by seesaw magazine as; “a fine example of dance that passes through unknowable landscapes; both physical and emotional.” In 2021 she was commissioned by Perth Festival to present To Place and by Tone List to present Ending in a List […] for Audible Edge Festival. Recently she co-produced and facilitated in the works 2021, a lab for independent dance artists at PS Art Space in Walyalup (Fremantle).
