LIZ CORNISH danced around the world with David Parsons Dance Company, based in New York. A highlight of her time as Rehearsal Director was teaching Rudolph Nureyev and remounting a work on the Paris Opera Ballet Company. Returning to Australia in the 1990s, she studied science at university while dancing with Chrissie Parrott Dance Collective and later with 2 Dance Plus (which became Buzz Dance Theatre and is now Co3). In the 2000s she shifted gears to have a family and teach Pilates. In 2013 she was tempted back on stage by the Perth Festival production of Trois Generations, where she performed with her son Otto. Since then, she continues to share her love of movement by teaching seated dance classes, running a Pilates studio and performing and creating dance whenever she gets the opportunity.
