Concrete Echoes - Ta'alili
Presented with Perth Festival and Performing Lines
In the heart of Boorloo, where stone and dance met, international artists from different movement origins came together in collaboration. Beneath the weight of the city, the ground softened for gathering.
Award-winning Aotearoa/NZ duo Ta’alili (Aloali’i and Tori Manley-Tapu) joined with some of the most dynamic dance artists from across the Indo-Pacific to create an original work, Concrete Echoes. Pulled in from across the region, each dancer carried with them the soil of other landscapes, the heat of other suns and languages of many tides. This free world premiere dance event was a thrilling display of artistic athleticism.
Choreographers: Ta’alili (Aloali’i and Tori Manley-Tapu)
