Maria Antunes

With a degree in Dance from Escola Superior de Dança de Lisboa, Maria concluded the modular FOR course at Companhia Olga Roriz and the Performing Arts Management/Production course – CGPAE#28.

Maria has studied Urban Dances and Clubbing since 2008, and these have been the basis of her work in recent years. She has performed BROTHER and CARCAÇA, by Marco da Silva Ferreira; PERIFÉRICO, by Piny / VHILS; .G Rito, SACRED GEOMETRY – A meditative state and |F|, by Piny; the project OMIRI, choreographed by Filipa Peraltinha; and MULOMA, by Kwenda Lima.

She is a member of the Orchidaceae Collective since 2014, under the direction of Piny. As a choreographer, she has presented work in Germany, France, England, Portugal and Sweden. Maria is a contemporary dance and House Dance teacher since 2015.
