Yi Kai Kao
Kao, Yi Kai is an independent producer and international arts manager from Taipei, Taiwan, working across theater, dance, circus, and interdisciplinary performance. He previously served as Director of the independent organization Thinkers’ Studio from 2013 to 2025 and was a core coordinator and curator of the Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts (TTTIFA) from 2015 to 2019.
Yi Kai collaborates extensively with artists, festivals, cultural institutions, and venues throughout the Asia-Pacific region to advance the international development of contemporary performing arts. His experience includes key roles in programs such as the National Culture and Arts Foundation’s ARTWAVE – Taiwan International Arts Network (2017–2020), international production initiatives for the Taipei Arts Festival (2017–2020).
In recent years, his work has focused on the relationship between artistic practices and local contexts, cultural policy development, and the strengthening of international networks. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Performing Arts Network Development Association and as a Board Director of the Performing Arts Alliance in Taiwan.
Alongside his leadership roles, Yi Kai continues to support young and emerging arts and culture practitioners through various projects, mentorship initiatives, and collaborative platforms.
