Chloe Ogilvie
Chloe Ogilvie is a Yamatji Nanda woman from Western Australia and a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where she specialised in Lighting Design. While her primary practice is as a designer, Chloe’s career extends across production management, producing, and creative leadership.
She was a Resident Artist at Black Swan State Theatre Company for three years, during which she co-curated the inaugural Maali Festival alongside Ian Michael—an event celebrating First Nations excellence in the performing arts. Chloe is also Co–Artistic Director of The Farm Dance Company, where she has contributed as both designer, creative lead and production manager across an ambitious body of work including Stunt Double, Throttle, Cockfight (Drover Award Winner), Ninth Wave, Tide (Helpmann Award Winner), and Cowboy.
Chloe’s independent practice is equally distinguished, with highlights including Bigger and Blacker (La Boite Theatre, LD), Spinifex Gum (LD), Bungul (Perth Festival, ALD), The Visitors (Moogahlin, LD), and Cursed!, Blue, At What Cost (Belvoir, LD). Other notable credits include Weredingo (Karul Projects), Lighting The Dark (DanceNorth, LD) and Tracker with Australian Dance Theatre.
Currently, Chloe is an Artistic Associate with Perth Festival, where she contributes to curatorial strategy, artistic programming, and the development of large-scale commissions. In this role she works closely with artists, producers, and communities to shape the festival’s creative vision, ensuring that diverse voices and contemporary practices are reflected across the program. Her position allows her to work across genres and platforms, supporting projects that range from intimate experimental works to landmark collaborations with international partners. This leadership role reflects her growing influence in shaping not only individual productions but also the broader artistic and cultural landscape of Western Australia.
