Production Skills Workshop with Chloe Ogilvie
Lighting Design
In this workshop, participants will learn technical jargon and the lighting design process, giving practitioners a better understanding in which to form a collaborative dialogue between creatives. Chloe will also demonstrate some lighting techniques to give participants a better understanding of common lighting designs in performance, and how different techniques can affect the dramaturgy of the work. Please bring something to write with (pen and paper, laptop, tablet etc.).
In 2024, STRUT Dance and The Blue Room Theatre introduce a series of eight Production Skills workshops.
The workshops are practice-based sessions aimed to assist independent makers in all the things they are required to do in and around their productions but might not have had the training to do so.
Each workshop will focus on a different element of production including sound, finance, writing, cultural awareness, lighting and dramaturgy.
