Jane Mitchell

Jane is the Communications Manager at Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation (YMAC), a native title representative body working with Traditional Owners across the Mid-West,
Gascoyne, Murchison and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. Her responsibilities encompass internal and external communications, brand management, stakeholder
engagement, event delivery, community and strategic partnerships, media management, strategic planning and evaluation, and advocacy at state and federal level.
With a career spanning the arts, cultural and community sectors, she is known for her ability to connect, consult and collaborate in a variety of settings. In her 14+ years at the WA Department of Culture and the Arts she worked with grants programs, organisational funding, and policy and program development and evaluation across the areas of young people and education, arts development, community and regional development and contemporary music. Other roles undertaken include Acting Executive Producer at Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, and Marketing Manager at CRAFTWEST Centre for Contemporary Craft (now FORM), and roles in local government and the corporate sector.
Jane has a double major in Marketing and Public Relations from Curtin University
