Áine Whelan is the General Manager Marketing, Business Development and Community Engagement at the Law Society of Western Australia. She has stewardship of the brand, customer experience, sponsorship and philanthropy, community engagement and membership growth.
Áine believes arts and culture play a vital part in who we are and our national identity. She has a background in the performing arts holding an honours degree in music from Trinity College Dublin and an Arts Management Degree from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She has produced and toured a range of arts and cultural events in Australia, Europe and Asia. With over 25 years’ experience in management, she has successfully transferred her knowledge and skills to senior positions in Government, corporate, not-for-profit and tertiary sectors. Holding an Executive MBA from the University of Western Australia, Áine is passionate about placing creativity at the centre of business strategy, decision making and execution.
