STRUT Dance invests in creativity, innovation and audience engagement to create a vibrant Western Australian dance scene like no other.

Established in 2002, STRUT Dance (STRUT) is Western Australia’s celebrated choreographic centre in Boorloo (Perth) – nationally relevant and globally connected.

Our year-long program offers unparalleled opportunities for creative development, performance, and employment through working with artists locally, across Australia, and internationally.

A member-based organisation supported by local, State and Federal government, STRUT exists to develop and sustain a thriving independent dance sector through employment and mentoring opportunities, empowered choreographic practice, and – the culmination of this support – performance.

STRUT celebrates dance as a powerful driver of human connection, and our audiences experience innovative dance works through multiple platforms – from studio-based, early-work showings, site-specific creations, main-stage performances and exhilarating festival events.

Annually, we support 300+ artists. We are the gateway for 20+ local, national and international creative visions and connect them with 5000+ local audience members. This impact would not be possible without the support of the local, state and federal government, the independent dance sector and our valued donors.

What becoming a STRUT Mover means:

By becoming a donor, you become a valued and respected Mover in the Western Australian dance scene. We refer to our donors as Movers because they are helping shift the dance landscape and to realise the possibilities for the independent dance development in Boorloo into the future.

Being a STRUT Mover gives you special status in the exciting world of independent dance in Western Australia.

This connection goes beyond that of a single company structure or performance, inviting you to engage with a breadth of artists from Australia and the globe, and get insight into our thriving classes, choreographic developments and performances in multiple settings.

STRUT Movers become part of the STRUT family with access to behind-the-scenes forums and showings, access to site-specific performances which provoke and inspire the way you engage with Perth’s physical surroundings, and to main-stage performances and significant festival platforms.

Your donation will enable us to nurture and develop outstanding artists, and to provide audiences access to some of the world’s finest choreographers, contributing to Perth’s reputation as a significant global player in the development of dance and dance artists.

Your donation is in your hands.

You can decide to donate to a specific STRUT Dance program, or make a general donation which STRUT Dance can utilise where most needed.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
