Developed by David Zambrano, Flying Low is a highly physical and fast paced class, focusing on the dancers relationship with the floor/ground/earth. Developed by David Zambrano, Flying Low focuses mainly on the dancers relationship with the floor/ground/earth. The class utilizes simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the centre and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently while maintaining a centered state. The class is highly physical and fast paced, for advanced/professional dancers.
Passing Through

Developed by David Zambrano, Passing Through is a highly physical practice that works to improve the dancers physical perception and alertness in space. The Passing Through is the making of a spontaneous movement composition, where the focus is on creating and developing 'in the doing' the dynamics for a complex system to present leadership in the form of a group web - seeing the room full of infinite pathways and spirals offering unlimited possibilities. The group moves constantly, transforming the environment of the dance.

In this workshop participants will explore the choreographic world of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui from the perspective of collaborator Nick Coutsier. Nick will unpack and offer some of the methodology that underpins Cherkaoui’s recent choreographic art works like "Satyagraha" and "Vlaemsch", focusing on collaboration and exchange, and the coexistence of different genres/ styles / stories, to generate material. NB. This is a 2-week workshop and participants must book into the full two weeks.

A workshop in peer-to-peer exchange, accessible co-creation and dance improvisation led by artists Julia Hales, Sam Fox and members of My Studio’s Performance Makers’ Collective (WA). This workshop builds upon practices developed between disabled and ally artists through the My Studio program. A range of accessible approaches will be explored that allow for non-verbal collaboration, diverse ways of moving and shared creative agency across the group. The process will lead to an experimental performance outcome. 8 artists will be selected to collaborate alongside 8 artists from My Studio Performance Makers’ Collective during this workshop. Marrugeku 2 day Masterclass

Marrugeku’s co-artistic directors – choreographer and dancer Dalisa Pigram and director and dramaturg Rachael Swain will lead a 2 day masterclass for dancers, choreographers, physical performers and actors which underpin Marrugeku’s devising approaches to intercultural contemporary dance theatre. Drawing on personal and cultural backgrounds to create contemporary movement, we will experiment with techniques to layer and structure movement, ideas, characters and cultural influences. Participants should have two to three years of experience in one or more of dance, circus, street dance, traditional or contemporary Indigenous dance, martial arts or other movement based practices. The workshop is also open to actors with some movement experience interested in improvisational movement processes to generate theatre. Please submit a statement of interest and a short bio. Participation is by EOI.
Mornings with The Farm - The Farm Smorgasbord

Daily offerings of creative practice and physical preparation from members of The Farm's collective. Each day a different member of The Farm collective will lead a physical warm up. Each of these offerings will be drawn from and include techniques associated with the Farm's production Stunt Double. They will range from floor work, stunt training, deep relaxation, chi gung, improvisation and vocal warm up.
