GROUNDWORKS was developed to provide greater access for West Australian independent artists, makers and performers to develop and present work in a theatre setting as a testing ground for mainstage presentation.

Groundworks will provide the resources of the Dolphin Theatre to independent artists to investigate and interrogate creative process under real theatre conditions.

This platform allows artists to test their creative ideas in front of an audience, encouraging artists not to endgame process, but rather to be bold and take artistic risks.

The emphasis of Groundworks remains development. However, works will need to have completed a minimum of one development before they become eligible to apply.
