Estelle Brown is an and emerging contemporary dance and multidisciplinary artist from Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung working in Boorloo. Training at The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet in her Advanced Diploma, at 16 she was the recipient of Melbourne’s prestigious “Dance Architect Award”.
Estelle holds a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) with First Class Honours (2020), was an exchange student to Purchase Conservatorium of Dance NY and received the Palisade award for “most outstanding graduate” (2019). In LINK dance company (2020) she collaborated with artists Natalie Allen, Rachel Arianne Ogle and Rainer Behr (Tanztheatre Wuppertal) and in research looked at the creation of contemporary movement through imagery, working with inside of visual art and creative writing mediums.
Performance highlights include Fringe WORLD Festival, Stala contemporary Art Gallery and Hazard Studios “After Dark” Gallery. With Izzy Leclezio she co-founded Flying Bicycle Collective a children’s contemporary dance theatre initiative and was recently a programming intern for KickstART Festival 2022 (Propel Youth Arts WA) working with the voices of young people to curate a vibrant festival in Perth and surrounds.
