Pepito” aka Carlos Estigarribia from Melbourne Australia has been Dancing since 1999. After migrating from South America with his family in 1986 he was inspired by local dancers in Melbourne who taught him the basics and knowledge of the dance form known as “Breakin”.
Obtaining a Bachelor of Education at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2002 has enabled Pepito to teach workshops where he has been able to motivate, inspire and teach the skills of his dance to youth in over 15 countries from around the world. He has been teaching breaking since 2001 and delivers Hiphop culture dance classes in schools across Perth. Pepito has competed, performed and taught in the United States, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Greece, United Kingdom and Singapore. His achievements include winning the Australian Bboy Championships 3 times and represent Australia at the UK Bboy championships world finals in 2007. He received the Cypher King award at both Freestylesession Australia and Rockafellaz 5th Anniversary in Poland.
In 2016 and 2018 he was awarded the prestigious “Cipher Killas” award ranking him no.1 in the world in Cypher Battles. His Influences range from Salsa dance, House music and other elements of Hip Hop Culture. Pepito feels passionate about the importance of dance education in the community and using hip hop culture to spread important messages to young people.
