The My Studio Performance Makers’ Collective is a program in development that draws upon practices of artists from the SEVEN Collective (2019-2021) The TOGETHER Project (2023) and a huge range of independent projects. Artists involved in My Studio projects to date include: Julia Hales, Sam Ren, Patrick Carter, Tina Fielding, Hugo Flavelle, Lauren Marchbank, Sarah Pollard, Sam Kerr, Sam Fox, Laura Boynes, Bernadette Lewis and Ella Heatherington & more! With the support of My Studio lead producer Simone Flavelle, artists have made work for major festivals, in film, media installations, theatres and on the streets. Members of the Performance Makers’ Collective know how to make work in disability-led ways. They also know how to make work through equitable, shared co-creation between disabled and ally artists. And they know how to creatively explore without relying upon verbal communication or inaccessible language.
