Meg Scheffers
Meg Scheffers is an emerging artist from Eora, who has been living and creating in Boorloo for the past 6 years. Having graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2019 where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Dance), Meg is currently navigating the independent dance and music sectors in Boorloo. She is passionate about collaborations that result in multi-disciplinary works and the sharing of artistic processes. Upon graduation, Meg performed in April Vardy’s award-winning Fringe work “In Cahoots” in 2020 and “Sense of Wander” in 2021. Meg is one of the co-founders of TriplOcate DMC, a movement collective which premiered their first work “Symbiosis” in Fringeworld 2022. Throughout 2022 Meg performed in “Rite and Revolution” a collaboration with WAYO, performed at the Melville Midwinter in a piece choreographed by Brooke Leeder and choreographed and performed in “Held in Motion”, a collaboration with artists Ash Morgan, Clancy Martin and Peter Mcavan. Over the past few years Meg has continued her research and development through programs such as Hidden Movements (Bernadette Lewis), In the Works and Dance Film Dance (STRUT). Meg has performed in works by choreographers such as Helder Seabra, Sam Hines, Ori Flomin, Lauren Langois, Scott Elstermann and Yilin Kong.
