Estelle Brown

Estelle Brown is a contemporary dance and multidisciplinary artist holding a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) with First Class Honours (2020) from WAAPA. During her training she was an exchange student to Purchase Conservatory of Dance, New York (2019) and a joint recipient of WAAPA’s Palisade Award for “Most Outstanding Graduate” (2019). In 2020 Estelle danced with LINK Dance Company and in research looked at the creation of contemporary movement through imagery, working within visual art and creative writing mediums. Estelle’s tertiary training and work in the professional sector has seen her work with artists such as Natalie Allen, Bernadette Lewis, Yvan Karlsson, Rachel Arianne Ogle, Stephanie Lake, Lauren Langlois & Rainier Behr. In 2021 Estelle Co-Founded Flying Bicycle Collective, a contemporary dance and cross – disciplinary performance initiative for young audiences. Their first full length work “Dreams of a Lonely Planet” was co-choreographed and performed by Estelle for AWESOME International Arts Festival and The Blue Room Theatre (2022). In 2022 Estelle worked with STRUT Dance as a performer, choreographer and teacher through programs such as Shortcuts and Situ-8: City.
