Deborah Robertson - Board Member
Deborah is an educator, performer, choreographer and filmmaker. She graduated from WAAPA in 2003, BA Hon. (Dance), completing her honours as a member of Link Dance Company.
Deborah is currently the Education and Access Manager at West Australian Ballet. She works with schools, community groups and arts organisations to increase their enjoyment and experiences with dance. She has taught contemporary dance technique, improvisation, choreography, ballet, dance for camera, and movement for theatre at private dance schools, public workshops, and numerous public and private high schools, as well as Buzz Dance Theatre, Fremantle Arts Centre, STRUT Dance, WAAPA, and West Australian Ballet.
Deborah has performed with Hydra Poesis (Perth), Aimee Smith (Perth), Compagnie Felix Ruckert (Berlin), and First Wave (Canberra). She has choreographed live performance and film projects for Link Dance Company, STRUT Dance and West Australian Ballet, as well as independently. She received a SPARK mentorship in 2006 with Tracie Mitchell as her mentor which developed her work for dance film. She has worked on the directing team on a number of dance and feature films.
