Beginners

Public classes will resume this week, Tue 9 Feb, following the current health advice. We ask all participants to adhere to the recommended health advice for class including social distancing, mask-wearing, using hand sanitiser and signing in for contact tracing purposes. We also ask that if you are feeling unwell, please stay home. Thanks in advance for your patience, support and understanding.

STRUT offers weekly contemporary dance classes for the general public every Tuesday evening. 

February Classes

Tue 9 with Robert Tinning (in Studio 1)

Tue 16 with Aimee Sadler (in Studio 1)

Tue 23 with Eve Newton-Johnson (in Studio 1)

March Classes

Tue 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 with Tanya Rodin (in Studio 1)

April Classes

Tue 6, 13, 20 and 27 with Lilly King (in Studio 1)

All of our teachers are local professional contemporary dancers (STRUT members), and their classes vary depending on their own styles, interests and techniques. Teachers generally rotate on a monthly basis, giving participants exposure to a range of styles and experiences throughout the year.

STRUT classes are available for drop-in participation and you must prepurchase online to attend here. Class cards are also available to purchase online to access discounted rates for multiple classes.

You no longer need to register separately online in advance for COVID tracking.
Registration details will be collected at the door on arrival. 

Our BEGINNERS LEVEL classes are open to all levels and no previous dance experience is necessary.

CLASS RATES:

  • 1 x class/drop in rate - $15
  • 4 x class card - $50
  • 12 x class card - $120
  • Unlimited class card - $500
    (Valid for an unlimited number of STRUT public classes in 2020)

Class Cards can no longer be purchased on the night and must be prepurchased online HERE

COVID safety - STRUT Dance will adhere to all current COVID safety protocols. We will open up a participation list which will include contact details to facilitate any contact tracing, should that be necessary. Hand sanitizer and will be available and there will be clear signage throughout the venue.

Each class card is valid for both Beginner and Intermediate classes.

While every safety & duty of care measure is taken by STRUT, class is undertaken at participants' own risk. Participants must be 18 years old.
