Nikki Tarling graduated form WAAPA in 2017 and has since established herself as a professional freelance contemporary dancer and artist. She has worked with independent choreographers and companies in the Australian contemporary dance sphere; some of which include Tasdance, Stephanie Lake Company, Cass Mortimer Eipper and Chunky Move. As a performing artist Nikki has been involved in an array of contemporary dance festivals, as well as Melbourne University’s ‘First Commissions’ campaign, performing ‘Duplex’ by Jack Riley at the Academia di Belle Art in Florence. In 2020 Nikki performed in ‘Hofesh in the Yard’ presented by STRUT, in association with the Hofesh Shechter Company for the Perth International Arts Festival. In 2020 Nikki’s teaching practice was sparked after completing her Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training. Nikki quests towards sharing her practice with others in the hopes of guiding people towards rekindling the fluidity in the body.
