Georgia Van Gils
Georgia Van Gils hails from the Northern Beaches in Sydney. She began her contemporary training at New Zealand School of Dance, graduating in 2017. Following her graduation, Georgia has worked with Legs on the Wall, Sita Ostheimer, Stephanie Lake, Catapult Dance Company, Kristina Chan and Lewis Major. She has worked with Strut Dance for their re-staging of Hofesh Shechter’s ‘tHE bAD’,and the 2020 season of ‘Situ-8’. Georgia has performed Kimberley Parkin’s 'Cry Baby', a remount of ‘Construct’ by Tanja Liedtke, and worked intensely with Kristina Chan on her new work ‘Brightness’ and most recently she was a part of ‘In Good Company’ choreographed by Brooke Leeder, Mitch Harvey and Robert Tinning. Georgia focuses on combining her interests of spatial design and audience experience into her practice.
